WebXR Support

VertoXR provides WebXR support through a browser extension, allowing you to experience immersive web-based XR content using your AR glasses. This enables you to access a wide range of WebXR applications, games, and experiences directly from your browser.

Overview

The VertoXR WebXR extension bridges your AR glasses with the WebXR API, enabling 3DOF (three degrees of freedom) head tracking capabilities. This allows you to:

  • Experience immersive VR/AR web applications
  • Play browser-based XR games
  • Access WebXR demos and experiences

The extension works by translating your glasses' orientation and position data into the WebXR API format, making your AR glasses appear as a compatible WebXR device to web applications.

Prerequisites

Before setting up WebXR with VertoXR, ensure you have:

  • VertoXR application installed and your glasses connected
  • A compatible AR glasses device
  • A Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, or Opera)
  • WebXR-enabled website or application
